Aching tonight at an ideology that can lead humankind to stand in a belief of supremacy over others.

I say “no” to this.

I raise my voice, small though it may be, to say “no” with every fiber of my being—and to say “YES" instead to voicing, “You see my skin, and I see yours—and both are beautifully, fearfully, and wonderfully, divinely designed uniqueness.”

I say “no" to the idea that God had multiple images in mind when He declared we were made in His. I say “YES” to a strong conviction that heaven will burst with those from every tribe and nation, with every skin color and race—and that we might as well start practicing for heaven now, bring glimpses of it here today.

I say a deep “I am sorry" to each person hurting--words so unbelievably small, offered with aching remorse on behalf a nation that has so consistently alienated, minimized, disregarded, and violated the ways you stand as an image bearer of your Creator in unique and beautiful ways.

No, and yes, and I’m sorry. I’m praying to walk with you today.
