Flight Musings Part 3: Energy

I put in earphones, listen to Hamilton - my favorite hype soundtrack for engaging in hard spaces. I am reminded of one of my favorite lines about our constitution: "It’s full of contradictions,” Aaron Burr argues. “And so is independence,” Hamilton shoots back. We live lives of contradictions. 

I am reminded of the beauty of America, the nation so many have fought and died for. I remember our ideals, and how it’s not too late. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Freedom and justice, respite and family. A nation founded by immigrants - coming home, making homes. Building lives. We’re here, shaping this again. It’s beautiful, and it matters.
